This is an image that I made while I was visiting the Krohn Conservatory in Cincinnati. I was there for the purpose of a butterfly shoot but I was drawn to these beautiful blue flowers. They are called Agapanthus, and they are an African species of flower. I took several different exposures at different angles, this is one of my favorite exposures. I will have to post a few of my butterfly images in another post.
On another note, I finally received a check from my insurance company for my gear that was stolen. Now I have to make a decision. I really want to purchase the new Canon 5d mark II but I don't quite have enough money to buy the 5d mII. Also if I find the extra money and decide to go for it. I will have to wait until sometime in December to get it. I will also need to buy a few other things that I lost as well and I will not have any money left for those items. On the other hand I could just purchase a 30d or a 40d and get a new L-series lens. If I go this route I will be able to replace everything that I lost as well. I really want the 5d mII though. I am currently leaning toward the 40d with the L-series lens and all the trimmings that I lost when my camera was stolen. I am also planning to get a Pentax point & shoot digital camera as well. This will be a camera that I can carry with me everywhere that I go. It is waterproof and it shoots HD video. I will probably go for this option as I will be able to replace everything that I lost and with a small amount of my own money be able to add the point and shoot Pentax. I'll let you know once I decide what I am going to do.
